Trump asked America’s white evangelicals to choose between Jesus and him. They chose Trump.
Evangelical leader Franklin Graham is amplifying the violence-loving comments Trump repeated in a tweet, that if Democrats impeach him (or he loses in 2020) it will cause a “Civil War.” Graham on Facebook also falsely claimed that Democrats are going to “take your guns,” a claim made only by former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, and related only to assault weapons.
“The socialist Democrats’ message to the United States of America is: 1. We’re going to take your guns, and 2. We’re going to impeach your president,” Graham wrote on the social media platform to his 8 million followers.
He credited Dr. Robert Jeffress as the originator of the “Civil War” claim, saying the far right wing megachurch pastor had “warned on Fox News that this could ’cause a civil war-like fracture in this nation from which this country will never heal.’ I don’t know about that,” Graham claimed, “but I can tell you this could lead to conflict that nobody wants if they continue down this road.”
Nobody wants it? Wrong: the evangelical right is itching to kill in the name of Jesus. They want America to become their version of Iran and Saudi Arabia_ an intolerant theocracy they lead through their man Trump.
Graham is literally suggesting that if Trump is impeached or if Democrats institute an assault weapons buyback program, conservatives and Christians will have no choice but to launch a civil war.
“Pray that God would change the hearts of Democratic leaders in Washington and that they would see the dangerous road that we’re on,” he implored.
Graham’s post spread quickly on Facebook, and his followers were only too happy to support his extremist and divisive rhetoric.
More than 7000 comments posted in under one hour. They called the Democrats evil and called for stocking more guns and ammunition “in every real Christian’s home.”

Trump says Adam Schiff, should be arrested for treason. Trump’s evangelical booster Robert Jeffress threatens civil war if Trump’s impeached. Trump calls the whistle blower a spy and threatens punishment-death. Wake up America.
Trump is a fascist thug leading evangelical ISIS-like terrorists. Add Robert Jeffress to Trump, Trump to Fox News, Fox to white nationalists, white nationalists to the NRA, the NRA to the Republican Party, the Republicans to the fossil fuel climate deniers, and you’ve described the empire of darkness driving the USA and our planet into oblivion.
This is what Trump wants from Republicans: to fight and die in a bloody civil conflict to bail him out of the mile-deep mineshaft he’s dug in a lifetime of bottomless corruption. That’s how he sees his evangelical fans– a human shield for him, worthless in itself, dumb, laughable but useful.
Are the gun-toting violence-loving white evangelicals following Jeffress going to kill us for Trump’s sake?

Well Frank, that great 2A is not being followed by anyone in America anyway as they need to use it to root out evil as they don’t and these very armed folk have become the evil so maybe disarming them might be the thing to do.
Red laws? Are not white Evangelicals mentally Ill by definition? They refuse to follow Jesus the peace maker the very founder of their religion as they have clearly become insane and do we let people whom are insane be heavily armed with military weapons?
As a dear friend of mine pointed out to me many of our western states are full of these folks as he calls the west the “new South” as if they rise up they will be crushed as was done in our Civil war.

I’d never heard of you until just recently. By my choice, I haven’t had an operable television for more than four years. As many of your comments and interviews have come after the election of Trump, it’s understandable why I haven’t heard or read of you.
I am a former evangelical myself having started out as a Jesus Person type convert in high school back in 1972. I had a severe crisis of faith five years later and fell away disgusted and dismayed by what I’d experienced. I was a practicing alcoholic for 21 years afterwards so I guess I swapped one addiction for another. Thank God for both 12 Step fellowships I’m part of. I’ve been clean and sober since around 1:00 AM CST 2/22/1998. Yes, I remember what I hope was my very last drink. Going back to my days as a Charismatic occasionally attending an Assembly of God church, my friends and I were heavily influenced by the Gospel Rock groups and stars at the time such as the recently converted Barry McGuire, Richie Furray, the Talbot brothers of Mason Prophet, the 2nd Chapter of Acts, Honeytree, Larry Norman and so on. I took everything to heart what Hal Lindsey wrote about and became thoroughly indoctrinated with the End of Days doctrines as taught by the Assemblies of God. My home church was Presbyterian but only a few out of our large congregation were what you would call evangelicals. I still have a friend from my Charismatic days who is not only an ordained minister but also the founder and leader(still so to the best of my knowledge) of Southern Cross Fellowship based in Perth Australia. John’s is a story for another time. He married an exchange student and emigrated with her back to Perth. I was loosely affiliated with a communal fellowship in Des Moines known as the New Life Center, most of its members being former hippies, drunks and addicts in the Des Moines area. I shared a house with four like minded Christians in my own home town as well. I don’t presume to have climbed the ranks like you did but it would seem we have similar backgrounds. Regardless, I have been on line on different chat forums trying to warn folks about just what we’re seeing now with Trump and his supporters who I choose to call Theonazis. Like yourself, I know just how delusional and stubbornly certain evangelicals can be, particularly when it comes to the Apocalyptic rubbish. Going back to my last few years as an evangelical, I saw how politics was working it’s way into the Assemblies of God in particular. I also distinctly remember the Catholic Charismatics being thrown into the mix about the abortion thing. Anyway, I dig what you’re doing. Perhaps we can chat sometime. May God Bless You!

Question why are you not going to law for prosecution of these con artists you speak of Jeffries graham etc They need to be taken down or we stand no chance. Pompeo pence etc all believe in rapture and at present we’re close to Middle East war breaking out due to trump blunders. Perhaps in belief it is meant to be since evangelicals think he is placed in our White House by God! Very disturbing though brilliant presentation you provided. Yet you leave the audience powerless. You are in a position to go to intel to report tax cheaters. Thank tiu
