“Biden and Sanders come across as romantics. Biden- stuck in the past, when real bipartisanship sometimes happened. Sanders [living] in an imaginary future, where a popular tidal wave washes away all political obstacles. Neither seems ready for the tough fights.” (Paul Krugman)
“The trouble with both Biden and Sanders is that each, in his own way, seems to believe that he has unique powers of persuasion that will let him defy the harsh reality of today’s tribal politics. And this lack of realism could set either of them up for failure.” (Paul Krugman)

Right on Frank!!!
Powerfully and eloquently stated as usual, Frank. Anybody who played a role, no matter how tangential, in the 2016 debacle must be automatically disqualified from the Democratic presidential race. Not only that, they must not get within one million miles of whoever ultimately becomes the Democratic party’s nominee. Biden and Sanders are irredeemably tainted by 2016. How can they not know this?
