We need to be honest about what is truly anti-Semitic, like Trump’s supporters shooting Jews, and what are inconvenient facts for Washington insiders in both parties, who have let Israel cynically abuse American evangelicals to pressure our leaders to make American policy reflect Israeli demands.
Discussing the undue influence of the State of Israel on American policy that has far right white evangelical support is needed. We can’t pretend one insensitive tweet about politics is in the same universe as support for Trump’s white supremacy that inspired shooting Jews.
