If Trump wins in 2020 here’s how group-think Democrats made it possible.
Here’s why (sadly) Trump may well win a second term: Trump doesn’t need to pretend to his followers he’s lived a life of humble service or goodness or truth. He doesn’t need to prove he’s not a Russian asset. All Trump has to do is repeatedly say that letting a baby die after a botched late-term abortion is wrong.
Late on Monday (Feb 21, 2019) afternoon, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act was defeated by Democrats in the Senate. This legislation required doctors to give medical treatment to infants who survive abortion.
Democrats are actively and stupidly helping Trump expand the range of anti-abortion voters far beyond his anti-abortion evangelical base— arguably his single most reliable constituency — from religious conservatives to many more non-partisan even secular Americans.
Proof?
In the space of only the last month, the percentage of Americans who identified themselves as pro-choice dropped by nearly 10 percent. Now 47 percent of Americans call themselves pro-choice; the same percentage say they are pro-life.
This has not been the case in a decade. What changed? Democrats needlessly doubled down. Democrats who ignore the power of these numbers to shift votes are burying their heads in the sand of group think.
Wake up! This sudden and radical shift is unprecedented in the history of the Marist poll, which has asked the same question using the same language for many years. It is due to anti-abortion forces playing the Democrats like a fiddle. Defending late term abortion for Democrats is already risky. Quashing a bill to treat once born babies (however cynically intended it was) will prove to have been past stupid.

I think the Democrats should start being just as unreasonable as the repubs!!! Democrats should offer to pass an anti abortion bill IF REPUBLICANS SIGN A CONTRACT TO SUPPORT THE RESULTING CHILD TO A MIDDLE CLASS LIFE STYLE UNTIL THAT CHILD IS 18. AND IT MUST BE A BINDING CONTRACT THAT WILL BE ENFORCEABLE IN THE COURTS. And only anti abortion supporters will be liable. By the way Frank, I’ve been watching “The Handmaids Tale”…. it is quite a commentary on what life would be like if the evangelicals come to power, don’t you think?

learned exactly nothing
from the 2016 disaster.
You found and ran the one person in the country Trump could defeat.
You then ran a right-wing campaign featuring a corrupt, MIC darling.
Then you invented a fictitious ‘Russian’ narrative with no hard support.
And as the Democrat Party shifts ever rightward,
the working class here and abroad is moves left.

The working class drive for independence from the 2 party duopoly is only beginning to emerge. It is going to swell to millions and then scores of millions and then hundreds of millions.
And it isn’t listening to Republicans or Democrats. It isn’t following. It won’t be bought out, because the working class is nor for sale. You have … no ‘capital’ with the 90%.
Having abandoned the rank and file of the nation, the Democrat Party is being abandoned BY the rank and file of the nation. That’s why Trump was elevated. A pox on your parties AND elections!
We don’t need them. And I for one am not following. Yet even after that beating, they don’t learn.
