Trump’s just imitated and mocked a victim of being sexually assaulted as a child. He did the same to a disabled man. Trump had no words of comfort for Dr. Ford. Instead he entertains white fascists with jokes about a brave woman not remembering everything about her suffering attempted rape as a child. Then he laughed like her attacker did. SLAP this vermin bully coward into silence on election day. In the name of decency VOTE BLUE! Cleanse America of the excrement called Trump and his GOP enablers.

Shameful. Elections and voting have consequences and this hot mess (Trump) is what we got when too many Americans refuse to vote. Hold your nose if you must, but be pragmatic. Someone will win the election whether you like them or not, so vote for the common good. See ya at the poll. Cheers.
Franks’s quote: “These people (Trump’s recent audience) would kill a child and tomorrow laugh about it.”
You seem so poisoned in your vitriol against Trump, you are losing (or have lost) perspective. Most certainly, I thought Trump (and crowd) were way over the top here (as usual), but to take this as akin to a lynching scenario points the finger to you. You are greatly overblowing things according to your bombastic, jaded perspective.
I am a progressive Christian, who would certainly like Trump to move on or be removed from office. However, I wish we all could be civil in our political passions and not overly demonize who we think are our enemies. Let’s have humility in the face we don’t know all the facts or motives.
Frank, I guess you might not care but I am tuning you out. So sad, I so valued your perspective as a progressive Christian but your bombastic, vitriol is too much. Better resources to spend time with.
@ Steven Harte
Yes, Frank is so poisoned in his vitriol against Trump that he has lost all perspective. I wonder where Frank would get the heinous idea that Trump could kill a child and his supporters would laugh about it. After all, the Donald famously said: “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” Obviously, The Donald meant an adult!
And yes, Trump and the Trumpettes were way over the top when Trump made fun of Dr. Ford and they laughed at her. The Donald also lied about Dr. Ford’s testimony but let’s not overblow the issue. After all, most sexual assault victims don’t report their assaults because they are terrified no one will believe them. So let’s not lose our perspective here by being outraged by sexual abuse allegations involving our government officials. Yes, yes, the President of the United States has 15 women accusing him of sexual harassment (“…grab them by the pussy…”) but millions of people still voted for him.
We should all be civil in our political passions and avoid accurately describing the disgraceful, childish, offensive, dishonorable, and dishonest behavior of the 45th President of these United States. Let’s have humility in the face we don’t know all the facts or motives. That’s why Dr. Ford and the women accusing President Trump of sexual harassment should have their claims honestly investigated. But let’s not become jaded in our demands for justice because it seems the rich and powerful often evade the law.
I guess for every person who stops reading this blog because of Frank’s so-called “bombastic, jaded perspective,” Frank will probably gain another reader. And there‘s nothing sad about that. No justice, no peace. Cheers.
Perhaps we should all follow the sage advice of Michelle Obama. “When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No our motto is, when they go low, we go high.” Maybe politics in America would be much less polarized if we actually live by that.
@Steven Harte
I don’t see Frank stooping to anyone’s level as you alleged. Unfortunately, American politics is what it is and one can’t go to a gun fight with a butter knife. You have complained in the past about Frank’s so-called vitriol so perhaps it is time for you to move on. Or do you think repeatedly complaining about how Frank expresses himself will change Frank’s mind?
And as much as I love the Obamas, President Obama was the perfect example of how one will be railroaded (e.g., Merrick Garland, etc.) if one doesn’t fight back with as much force as one’s enemy. So while Mrs. Obama “they go low, but we go high” phrase was cute, it’s much like the silly “turn the other cheek” sentiment; it doesn’t work in the real world of human affairs.
