You know things are bad for the Republican Party when a large Mormon women’s group is calling on senators to suspend the Kavanaugh confirmation proceedings until a thorough investigation is completed.
Women aren’t just mad – they’re organized and mobilized politically in a way we’ve never seen before. Sane decent men as well as all decent American women are counting on organized angry righteous women to destroy Groper-Trump, and the misogynist rape-tolerant Republicans to save America.
If there’s cause for hope in these horror-show days, it’s that the Republican Party has no idea what’s about to hit it this November: huge numbers of women who aren’t just mad – they’re organized. They ask: Why would Dr. Blasey Ford “set up” Kavanaugh when the cost of doing so is to have her name dragged through the mud and be forced to flee her own home to avoid death threats by Trump’s NRA/white nationalist evangelical thugs?
The disdain for women the Republicans have shown by continuing to rally behind Kavanaugh while defaming his accusers is only energizing all decent women and many decent men.
Trump has repeatedly sexually assaulted women. He nominated a man repeatedly accused of sexual assault to the highest court in the land. Women are rising up against this manifest evil doing the groundwork for a historic political reckoning.
Despite the betrayal of their gender, their faith and their country by white evangelical Trumped women, the rage of millions of thinking decent women, including overwhelming majorities of women of color, is now laser-focused on the Republican Party and bent on its just destruction.
Twenty-five thousand protests have taken place since Trump’s inauguration involving 21-million Americans. These figures that greatly exceed levels of protest at any prior time in US history- even the height of the Vietnam War. And women have consistently been the majority taking to the streets.
Quietly and persistently, women have also been pursuing a powerful electoral anti-Trump ground game that’s striking in both its scale and its character. The righteous anger surrounding Kavanaugh and the Republican leaders determined to “plow right through” with his nomination will only make women’s volunteer armies grow in both size and significance. Watch out! They are independent of the Democratic Party thus under the radar.
The November election is a referendum on the future of women’s rights as much as a midterm election. If America is saved, thank our women.

Woo Hoo! I do hope a pink wave and revolution is coming. It’s frightening to hear female Trump supporters downplay sexual assault because “boys will be boys.” Egads. How awful. Wonder if they would continue to believe this if their daughters were assaulted?
As a woman of color, I’m glad to see Black women within the Democratic Party challenge its status quo. Much love and mad respect for those willing to take on the gatekeepers and demand change by being the change they want to see. The Democratic Party has taken the Black female vote for granted, but enough is enough. Business as usual has got to go. Our bankrupt 2-party system and electoral process needs a radical transformation and I hope I live long enough to see it. See ya at the polls. Cheers.
Dear Joelyn:
Our bankrupt two party system and electoral process are beyond redemption and a radical response recognizes that this ‘system and process’ must go.
I hope I live long enough to see it.
So long as ‘profit necessity’ is the governing axiom, the gurus of pseudo left politics will resolve nothing. The words/fantasies of charlatans posing as ‘left’ candidates will be dashed on the rocks of objective market forces that rule to them and not the reverse.
Blessings!
Dear Frank Schaeffer:
Here are some thoughts:
1] Trump’s fascistic/war-mongering rant at the UN holds a subordinate spot.
2] No Democrat on the Judiciary Committee will ask Kavanaugh…
2a] ‘What was your role in the attempted coup d’etat known as the Starr investigation against Bill Clinton?’
2b] ‘Why did you support torture and illegal detention as part of the Bush administration?’
Conclusions?
1] Kavanaugh is a zealous right-winger and reactionary enemy of democratic rights.
2] The sexual abuse frenzy of the Democrat Party is a conscious, political operation intended to poison the atmosphere, pollute political consciousness, stop people in their tracks, numb and confuse them.
3] The US ruling elite — Republican and Democrat — work a common program from slightly differing perspectives against the working class with the hope of…
> reducing and blunting class resentment
> divide the working class along partisan and gender lines
> forestall as long as possible any independent political action
> ideologically cripple any working class identity
> build a reactionary constituency in the upper-middle class
And, I observe that NOT a quarter century of
> bloody, neo-colonial war
> imperial occupations
> death/displacements of tens of millions
> the destruction of whole societies [Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria Yemen]
> drone strike kill lists
> massive NSA spying
>persecution of Snowden, Manning or Assange
produced the degree of outrage as the sex campaign.
As I see it, BOTH parties utterly abandon the working class.
As I see it, BOTH parties completely discredit the entire political system.
Increasingly, the 90% is done … done with elections, done with your parties, done with your campaigns, done with your courts, done with your juridical decisions, done with your narratives, done with Constitution, done with your beatific vision of glories postponed perpetually – just around the next election cycle.
Bottom line – you can’t buy us; we’re not for sale.
Good luck to partisan sycophants tasked with breaking through that.
Blessings!
The women will save this country from ourselves. Republicans have no idea what they have energized.
What! Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, and Sen. Mazie Hirono walked out of the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting. Are the Dems growing a backbone? (Doubt it) LOL! Well, I am a dreamer and Sen. Hirono is on fire! I just love how women are leading the charge for due process by reopening an FBI investigation and interviewing new allegations and witnesses. Much respect to the two sexual abuse survivors who confronted so-called moderate and has nothing to lose anymore Republican Senator Flake on a congressional elevator. I don’t know if Brett Kavanaugh is guilty or not, but his diatribe about left-wing conspiracies gives me pause for concern about his emotional stability. Will Republican women make history on this case? Stay tuned! Viva the Pink Revolution…The revolution…WILL not be televised, WILL NOT BE TELEVISED
