Ha! Trump didn’t care about due process for the Central Park Five even after they were exonerated. But cmon Frank. What’s a sexual predator to do? Trump just can’t help it! He is, after all, God’s hand-picked choice. Da Lawd is making him do it. Cheers.

Dear Frank Schaeffer:

This ‘power’ is what was offered in Jesus’ temptation. ‘Christians’ in our time believe Jesus got it wrong, and they ought to have taken up the Satan’s offer. Churches which follow the ecclesial year begin the observance of Lent this coming week. And Jesus’ temptation is a Lenten reading some years. It is time the church reflected on Jesus’ rejection of the Satan’s offer, and what that means for discerning our covenant identity in Christ.

Blessings!

Further to Jesus rejection of political power, He states emphatically that the most potent power comes from valuing everyone equally and unconditionally seeking to help others realize their potential through love, acceptance, and forgiveness. I believe we then earn influence by how we treat people. The positions taken by too many evangelical Christians projects etror, hypocracy, and compromises Jesus desire for us to live in a way that brings wholeness in relationships and in communities. Sadly, that is undermined by taking positions on social issues without relational credibility and counter-produtive political alliances. As a committed Christian, I believe many evangelical Christians are harming and limiting the.positive impact of Jesus message through increasingly fractured relationships, communities, nation, and world.

Yeah right . Try like a sycophant uninformed little fool to blame it solely on the evangelical and fundamentalist churches .

Get a grip gdd … those churches following the ‘ so called ‘ ecclesiastical year ( which is a complete and utter fabrication who’s sole purpose from day one was to occupy the minions in order that they not see how hypocritical and heretical along with abusive their churches are … and that the early church never so much as contemplated never mind recognized ) from the majority of Roman and Eastern Orthodox catholics to the ecumenical mainstream right on down to the depths of ecumenical liberalism are just as bad if not worse .

Fact … the majority of Lutherans of all stripes voted for Trump

Fact .. the overwhelming majority of ALL catholics both Roman and Eastern voted for Trump

Fact .. a majority of Episcopalian and Methodists voted for Trump

Fact … all are as steeped within the depths of self serving heresy as the evanfundy christofascists

Fact .. most of the fringe minority liberation theology lunatics voted for Trump as well

Fact … along with the ‘ so called ‘ emergent church members

Why ? Because they’ve all got all of it wrong … from Genesis to Revelations … preferring misinterpretation that suits their lust for power and glory over and above any semblance of the Truth

With you gdd .. being the epitome of hypocrisy and heresy .. personified

PS; Though use of the word ecclesial is not ‘technically’ incorrect in the context you’ve placed it in … ecclesiastical is the correct and more accurate word you should of used . But then again … your being both the pretense of a pseudo intellectual as well as an internet fraud who’s vocabulary , context , rhetoric and grammar have more often than not proven the case …. I guess one more stupid error on your part should come as no surprise

Dear TJ Martin:

Your ‘get a grip’ reference relates to your narcissist projection. Nor is there any reasoning with narcissists. As a narcissist, you don’t use standard linguistic convention; you utilize words to garnish narcissistic supply with which to nourish your false self.

Most of what you mention the antecedent post doesn’t reference. So I’m not responsible to reply. I mentioned that the lust for power Frank Schaeffer mentions is squarely addressed in Jesus’ temptation, and that the germane passage is sometimes referenced at this time of year by some churches which use the church calendar to structure their readings.

If heresy concerned you, you would post a full and free apology to Gary B., and ask his forgiveness your thinly veiled threats against his person and for your depiction of his mother as a prostitute. Reducing Gary to a disgusting metaphor, you deny that he is God’s image. Confronted with your narcissistic behavior, you rationalized your offense claiming that Gary’s behavior forfeited any basis for that consideration. You shifted the theology of God’s image which we are ontologically – by virtue of creation – onto a behavioral basis, effectively constituting Gary as something other than what he is. And you call others ‘heretics!’

Moreover, you admit to being in fellowship with no church. I’ve asked repeatedly and you have refused to answer if you are under discipline. Your behavior is certainly contumacious and it brings your Christian confession into question. As I have said before – repent! Return to your church! Answer to her elders. Seek restoration with God’s church. Remember – you cannot be ‘reformed’ without reformed polity, and reformed polity doesn’t allow voluntary disassociation.

Since you again reference ‘hypocrisy,’ I offer this. It seems duplicitous that you censor me for my political philosophy when you yourself embrace Marxist orthodoxy. You admit to seeking an alliance with the 1%, while at the same time precluding the program of the 90% from the political agenda [you must s the 1% would NEVER meet you otherwise]. Yet that construction is the quintessential basis of Marxist political analysis.

I won’t speculate whether it is because you lack the intelligence to perceive it, the integrity to admit it, or the interest to redress it – but no less than me, your formulation makes you a Marxist. The difference is, I ally with the 90% and you the 1%.

You were fine with my posts so long as you thought there was some likelihood that I could be swayed to betray the working class 90% and support your economic interests of the next 9%. The instant you read my Roy Moore post, you knew that wouldn’t happen, and the narcissist in your began embracing your inner Republican. You’ve been at it ever since.

Epiphany blessings!

I believe women have always been abused in these high numbers. I wonder why it’s all coming out in such numbers these days. Could it be that the Trump presidency has caused people to feel more strongly that they must come out of the shadows and speak the truth? I don’t believe that the number of offenses has increased but it does seem likely that birds of a feather flock together. I’m sure Trump surrounds himself with abusers. He is so arrogant and ignorant that he believes he can get away with anything. I think this is just the beginning. We will probably see more women coming forward as time passes. There is safety in numbers. These women have nothing to gain by exposing their abusers.

Tara .. ignorance plays no part what so ever in Trumps lack of judgment .

The simple reality with Trump is …. as the norm for the egomaniacal narcissistic psychopath Trump that has shown himself to be since his emergence into the public eye ..

… in Trump’s mind … as well as all similarly afflicted personalities ..

He is above it all including the law and therefore he never so much as questions any of his actions … never mind feeling the need to justify them

It is called critical mass. In nuclear physics, it would refer to the amount of material (such as plutonium) that is large enough to allow for a nuclear reaction to occur, or alternatively as it would relate to women who have been abused… when something reaches the threshold of its limits. As in, enough is ENOUGH!!!

That’s exactly what I meant, Margarita. Critical Mass. Thank you for that bit of elaboration and clarification.

Yeah … and a helluva lotta good its all doing .. removing good men like Franken , Charlie Rose etc despite them apologizing as well as the women involved accepting their apologies .. who made stupid testosterone addled mistakes … yet never committed any actual crimes … accused or prosecuted …

Whilst the Groper in Chief known for his misogynist actions , groping , rape etc for decades still remains in office

Suffice it to say … this is the article all of you consumed by the mass hysteria of MeToo needs to read and take to heart ;

https://harpers.org/archive/2018/03/the-other-whisper-network-2/

In as far as your ‘ critical mass ‘ theory … WRONG Ms Abadie .. the correct term is mass hysteria creating a mass psychosis … whereby everyone and anyone suddenly feels they are also victims whether in reality they are or not .

Question is … are you willing to accept what this mass hysteria is really accomplishing ? Suffice it to say its not doing a damn thing for the woman in the street .. but it is adding to the division in the land as well as fueling the fires of Trump’s base even further .

So thanks a helluva lot for adding to the identity politics dividing this land .

Golly I’m just so damn impressed . Actually … more like depressed …. as I watch the mid terms gradually float out of our hands right into the greedy grasp of the hard right

Forget about me TJ… The problem with your proposed: “You women should just shut up, take it, and spread…” is that it is NOT going to sway the female non-voters to vote for neither the Democrats nor the Republicans?

Sorry, but the simple fact, (as the recent Alabama elections demonstrated), is that women DO count!

Just saying…

This is one hell of an interview – pardon my language – but seriously, we would all be in better place and shape if all religious leaders, especially among white people of the West, could think and talk like this !
Deepest respect, sir.
