How can I best describe my feelings during the Trump Era so far? I’m feeling suspended in time. How about you?
I wish Trump would attack my new book “Letter to Lucy” too! About 250,000 copies of Wolff’s “Fire and Fury” had already been shipped to be held until next Tuesday. Now Holt & Co released it today “due to unprecedented demand.”
Trump’s lawyers did not cite national security as grounds for trying to kill the book. Rather this was intimidation. Henry Holt responded by bringing publication forward to today-Friday. Well done!
Trump is lying-again. Wolff’s access to Trump and his inner circle is evident. Wolff writes of how he sat down with Trump in his Beverly Hills home while Kushner and Trump aides Hope Hicks, and Corey Lewandowski, milled about. His book proves close proximity.
“Fire and Fury” confirms what Trump’s own call him: Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin: “an idiot,” Cohn: “dumb,” national security adviser H.R. McMaster considered him a “dope,” and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, concluded that the commander in chief is a “moron.”
“The world wonders how the United States will survive Donald Trump. And I ask, what will finally move Republicans to deliver a non-negotiable ultimatum to this unstable president?” writes Joe Scarborough, Wash Post.
The GOP’s leadership’s defense of Trump appears even more preposterous following Wolff’s revelations, in “Fire and Fury,” of Bannon’s observation that members of Trump’s team, including his son, committed nothing less than treason.
Will Trump survive his 1st term? If he does the Republican Party is doomed.
