Will white evangelicals still send medical missionaries to help brown people living in Trump’s “shithole” countries?
Do people in “shitholes” still deserve to hear about Jesus?
The White House hasn’t responded yet to Trump’s “shithole countries” comment. It’ll take Sarah Huckabee a few extra moments to come up with how to spin this and keep white evangelicals in line who used to worship a carpenter who went to a “shithole” to die for brown people.

Frank thank you. I feel like that too falling into a bottomless hole. Our country’s government is a disgrace our democracy is no more. We have a fascistism type government now.
Dear ‘ so called ‘ Pro Life -Pro Family evangelicals and fundamentalist christofascists .
So its ok to break up families … sending the parents ( who came here legally ) back to what your Toddler in Chief so kindly refers to as s___hole countries ..
As well as to deny Medicaid to the poor who are not working because there are no jobs to be found .
Not to mention denying the CHIP program that provides medical care to underprivileged children … along with providing pre-natal care for poor pregnant mothers
So much for the plaque at the foot of the Statue of Liberty
But hey … Walmart/SamsClub did raise their pay ( due to in their words the new tax reforms ) announcing it to all concerned in a moment of corporate cronyism … while behind everyone’s backs closing 63 stores with another 100 on the chopping block ( WSJ etc )
Ahhh … the ongoing hypocrisy of the never right evangelical and fundamentalist christofascists in their desperate bid for power .
I leave you with a quote from iconic American author – philosopher – existentialist Catholic … Walker Percy ;
” Liberal politician ; If we use our wealth and energies constructively to provide greater opportunities for al men there is unlimited hope for man’s well being ”
” Conservative politician ; If we defeat Communism and revive old time religion and Americanism we have nothing to worry about ”
” The Message in the Bottle ” Walker Percy 1954
PS; On the most recent Walmart / SamsClub deceit ….

so very sad for Americans and the world. frighteningly close to repeating all our errors.
Dear Frank Schaeffer:
I’d like to reshape this by asking how many have died because we have not allowed them to flee wars and starvation. WE could add any who have or will die because we have disallowed medical coverage. Many other malevolent social policies could be added to this in a way that betrays the falsity of the claim to support a culture of life.
The Christagelical Evanjihadist pro-birth stance costs nothing. You are entirely correct to point out that many policies they support militate against life.
Epiphany blessings!
Despite the overall correctness of this particular comment there is one major error you seem to be very ignorant of .
The US Roman and Orthodox Catholic churches along with a majority of the mainstream ecumenical churches are as much if not more to blame as the christofascist evangelical and fundamentalist ( never ) right are ………especially the Eastern Orthodox Catholic churches who from the US to Russia and all places in between have whole heartedly subscribed to Putin’s version of justice , ethics and morality
e.g. Avoid the intellectual sin of ‘ scapegoating’ by placing the blame on all involved rather than focusing on the convenient target immediately at hand
PS; Christofascist is a real word that flows nicely off both the tongue as well as the keyboard … whereas Christagelical and Evanjihadist .. are not only redundant when used in conjunction with one another … but are nothing more than creations of your own pseudo intellectual imagination as well … having all the flow of a square rock rolling down a rock strewn slope .
I watched the video posted to the Washington Post, and then went to Imamu Baraka’s FB page, where I was not surprised to read comments such as these from the sickening and heartless holier-than-thou Fundamentalist Christians:
“If she was medically discharged this is completely legal. If doctors have signed off all proper papers etc. hospitals aren’t free room and board, it’s for the sick. I’m pretty sure they found her a shelter if she was homeless or a facility that she needed but possibly refused. By the looks of security having to get involved she tried to use the hospital as a hotel. Imagine your family member that is really sick having to be roomed in a hallway of a hospital because she, medically released, refused to leave the one room available to your sick family member.” ~Pamela Bancroft
“We don’t live in 1900 we live in 2018 nothing has to deal with color let it go. Yes ma’am I’m southern and yes ma’am I’m a Christian and no ma’am I don’t judge people by color I judge people by character” ~Pamela Bancroft
“look lady I help people whom help themselves, not ones who act out for attention.” ~Pamela Bancroft
Needless to say, if you go to her FB page, you can see that she is a Drumph supporter who “stands for the flag, and kneels for the cross.”

Margarita, I’m so sick and tired of seeing the “I stand for the flag, and kneel for the cross” memes on facebook. Just about everybody who posts it is a die-hard trump supporter with the same mentality as this Pamela woman. And they all think they’re real good Christians too. I live down in the deep south, and I am inundated with this crap every single day. I cannot go to the grocery store or the bank without hearing someone talk about how wonderful they think Trump is and what a great President he is. Heard it in the bank and the doctor’s office yesterday. Ignorance abounds down here!!!
Tell ME about it Stacey! I, of course, called her out on her Drumph supporting “I stand for the flag, and kneel for the cross” BS. And this is what she replied:
“Margarita Abadie yes ma’am I’ll always stand for a flag and kneel for the cross. As you should that flag is what has given you freedom and that cross is what has given you life.”
And I’m like: Geez! There goes another bible thumping idiot who doesn’t get that humans evolved from apes, and instead need to see themselves as some superior supernatural “white-god-like-being” descendant of Adam and Eve.
I find it odd that people like her claim to be a good Christian but her attitude towards the poor woman thrown out of the hospital was basically “well, screw her.”
Not only that, but she is totally blind to the fact that when she says that she judges people by their character, and without knowing anything about that poor woman’s circumstances, she basically racially profiled her as someone who was looking for a free handout and trying to scam the system; and as such “deserved” to be put out in the freezing cold. Because… THAT is what “good” Christians and Drumph would do!
Margarita, when I saw that poor women standing outside that hospital I felt so sorry for her. Never would I have thought she was looking for a free handout. People like this Pamela woman claim to be Christian but have no heart.
Trump is just a reflection of who these people really are. You know you can put a pile of shit in a box, wrap it up beautifully and put a pretty bow on top but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still shit on the inside. That’s what these people remind of. They use Christianity as a window dressing to cover up the dark heart underneath.

I’m feeling like you do Frank, disoriented in my own country. It’s been Hell on earth listening to these ignorant evangelical, trump-supporting people, talking about how righteous they are in electing Republicans. If anyone actually knew their history, they’d know that it’s been Democrats that have done the most good for our country. I’m also sick of these people pretending to be superior in their religion. Hogwash! Thank you for helping us stick to the subject of rejecting trump & his ideology.

“Iraq, Kurdistan, and Syria” – Do those qualify as “s***holes”?
“Inspired by Hudson Taylor’s medicinal & missional work throughout the interior provinces of nineteenth-century China, we believe relief is the means of a missional end—so we serve those who are suffering with both a tangible and a verbal witness of the Gospel.
“FAI RELIEF PERSONNEL SERVE THROUGHOUT IRAQ, KURDISTAN, AND SYRIA.
“We are living through what the UN is calling the “greatest humanitarian crisis” since the Second World War and slaughter known as the Holocaust. This greatest crisis provides the people of Jesus the greatest opportunity to provide an incarnate witness of the Incarnate God. It is a holy privilege, and we invite you to join us.”
